Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2025

1. Overview

BankFlow Converter ("we," "our," or "the Service") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our web application. Our primary design principle is simple: your financial data never leaves your device.

2. Data Processing

BankFlow Converter operates entirely on a client-side basis. All PDF bank statements you upload are processed directly in your web browser using JavaScript. No files, transaction data, or financial information are ever transmitted to our servers, stored in the cloud, or processed by any third-party service.

  • Your PDF files are read and parsed locally in your browser.
  • Converted files (QBO, CSV, OFX) are generated locally and downloaded directly to your device.
  • We do not have access to, collect, or store any of your financial data.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the Service:

  • License key: Your license key is stored locally in your browser's localStorage for your convenience. It is sent to our server only during validation and is not stored on our servers.
  • Payment processing: Payments are handled entirely by Whop, a secure third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
  • Basic usage metrics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated data such as page views and general geographic regions to understand how the Service is being used. This data does not include any personal or financial information.

4. Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. All payment processing is handled externally by Whop.

Additionally, we use your browser's localStorage to store your license key and validation timestamp locally. This is not a cookie and is never shared with any server other than for license validation purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Whop — for payment processing and license management. Their own privacy policy applies to data they collect during transactions.

We do not integrate with any analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers.

6. Data Security

Since all financial data processing happens locally in your browser, the security of your data is primarily determined by the security of your own device and browser. We use HTTPS to secure all connections to our servers, and the license validation endpoint is rate-limited to prevent abuse.

7. Data Retention

We do not retain any of your financial data. Your license key is stored only in your local browser storage. We do not maintain server-side copies of user data.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store your personal financial data, there is no personal data for us to delete or transfer. However, you may at any time clear your browser's localStorage to remove your locally stored license key. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at digital.matrix.arbitration@gmail.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
